HER STORY

Yasaman Ziaolhagh is an Iranian Architect, Designer, and Lecturer. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture from Azad University of Mashhad (IAUM) in 2008, since which she has started her professional career in collaboration with architectural firms and interior design studios.
Initially, in 2009, she gained teaching experience as a teaching assistant, and she has been working as a lecturer in the university since 2011.


THE PRIMARY FOCUS


Considering her strong research background in her master’s thesis on School Design, as a lecturer, she has made many efforts to apply new educational syllabus and methods in school design projects. Aiming to highlight the significance of an innovative reform in designing learning environments, she has supervised many undergraduate projects and held numerous academic lectures.
Another highlighted subject on which she has been working is the principles of form and space in architecture. Within the period she has been supervising student projects, she has expanded her knowledge of primary elements in architectural design, form, and space design process, particularly point elements, linear elements, planar elements, volumetric elements, proportion, circulation, geometry, and aesthetics in architecture.
She is still passionate about researching the fundamental vocabulary of architectural design, which is elemental and timeless. As an innovative and collaborative venue, she believes that academia is one of the best places to examine the abovementioned topics through practical experiences.
